Appearance: Xena has seen several different wardrobes, and it really depends on where she is a the time. However, she prefers her leather armor. It encourages movement with the short thick fringed skirt, the snug bodice and sleeveless straps. She wears her black hair down with a braid placed across the crown of her head, and bangs that stop just above her eyes. Her eyes are a piercing blue that contrast starkly with her hair. Her skin is olive toned, which allows her to spend hours in the sun with little repercussion. She is very tall, nearing almost six feet in height. Her build is athletic as she is very strong, but maintains the curves of her hips and bust.

PERSONALITY & BACKGROUND

Personality: Xena is a no nonsense kind of girl. She doesn't like to be told what to do. She is her own free spirit, save her ties to her child, Eve and her soulmate, Gabrielle. She is a strong woman with a strong spirit. She doesn't back down, and is frequently right. She fights for truth and justice, and defends those that are too weak to defend themselves. Although she can be tender and kind, she does not often display this, except to a select few. She rarely cries, although it does happen (most specifically around those she loves), and more often prefers to come off as tough.

Background: Xena was born to a tavern keeper, Cyrene. She had an older brother Toris and a younger brother, Lyceus. Her father was never in the picture and it is speculated that her mother killed him because he tried to sacrifice a young Xena to Ares, the God of War.

When Xena was a young teenager, her village was attacked by an army. While many of the villagers ran away, she and her younger brother stayed to fight. Lyceus was killed, along with many of the other villagers. This drove a wedge between Xena and her mother and Xena left the village. She wanted to seek revenge on the army that had attacked the village and set out to learn all she could about leading an army. Several years later, she was the leader of an army and fulfilled her desire to attack the army that had once ravaged her village.

She was trained in the art of war by many different people. She is capable of many skills in the arts of combat and warfare. To defeat her foes, she uses strategy, agility, acrobatics, martial arts, and several weapons. Most often she can be seen with her sword and chakram, a razor sharp discus-like weapon. She is also skilled in the use of pressure points and has been known to carry a whip.

Xena became obsessed with power and led her army to various victories. However, she made some mistakes in whom she chose to ally with and she was captured and tortured on a number of occasions. She was pregnant twice, but gave up her first born to the Centaurs so that he would not be brought up around her dangerous lifestyle. Her second child, a daughter, was taken from her while she was put into a 25 year deep sleep in an ice cave. When she awoke later she reconciled with her daughter and showed her that good was the way. Eve later became the messenger of Eli.

She has met a number of people, including Hercules, Ares, Odin, and Caesar. However, her soulmate is Gabrielle. She would walk through fire, and die any number of times if it meant that she would be safe. Their relationship goes beyond any sort of sexuality, although it does not exclude it. Xena saved Gabrielle at their first meeting and could not seem to shake her company afterward. Through the years they have seen many tragedies, and lived through many life altering circumstances. And through it all, they have been each other's salvation and foundation.
